SFL LATEST NEWS

October 2012 - After getting an update from Pat about future plans, Jackie, Margery, Patricia and Jenny inspected the developments at the SFL impressive demonstration organic garden. They enjoyed checking out the sun drying plastic container, and the impressive new ‘dry’ toilet, as also the compost heaps which Jackie helped create last year. But the waste of food, given by shops to SFL for composting provoked much discussion.

They were then taken to visit Royce, a home gardener for only six months with SFL who has produced a productive oasis to feed her family. A remarkable achievement.

Finally they paid a flying visit to the Levana community garden which is providing a livelihood for the 4 gardeners there.
