THATU Online Marketing volunteer 

Thatu has decided that it is time we took advantage of the opportunities that the new social media potentially offer and so we are looking for an energetic volunteer to help and guide us! If you are interested please contact us at info@thatu.org. We look forward to hearing from you.

VOLUNTEER TASK SUMMARY

Our overall objective is to increase supporters and donations.

We want our Online Marketing volunteer to increase awareness of Thatu and its projects, by generating inbound traffic to our web site using social media tools such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

What we expect you to do:

Work with trustees to encourage our use of relevant social media tools.

Manage our presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into relevant discussion and news websites in conjunction with our trustees.

Liaise with our web site administrator to ensure good co-ordination of web & social media messages and make use of our excellent photo resources.

Monitor site analytics to measure the impact of social media.

Feedback insights gained from social media monitoring to the Trustees  to help us evolve future  strategies.

What we are looking for:

Good self-organisational skills.

Appreciation of objectives & values of Thatu. 

Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook,  Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and analytic tools for monitoring site traffic.

Regular commitment of 7 hours or more per week for 3 months.

Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in writing on social media platforms and the Thatu website.

Team player, with the confidence to advise Trustees, communicate clearly and develop effective working relationships.
